<p>Die <b>Monterey Car Week</b> ist eine jährlich im August in <a href="Monterey_(Kalifornien)" title="Monterey (Kalifornien)">Monterey (Kalifornien)</a> stattfindende große und als bedeutend eingeschätzte Automesse.<sup id="cite_ref-SPON-193597859ffd_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-SPON-193597859ffd-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup><sup id="cite_ref-nzz-1754169_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-nzz-1754169-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Sie dauert zehn Tage.<sup id="cite_ref-forbes-2024_3-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-forbes-2024-3"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>3<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Zum ersten Mal fand sie 1950 statt.<sup id="cite_ref-speed-ma-64754_4-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-speed-ma-64754-4"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>4<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>
</p><p>Die Basis der Monterey Car Week sind mittlerweile verschiedene Veranstaltungen mit historischen Fahrzeugen, darunter Rennen in verschiedenen Klassen<sup id="cite_ref-oldtimer-Edelmeta_5-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-oldtimer-Edelmeta-5"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>5<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> und der sehr bekannte <a href="Oldtimer" title="Oldtimer">Oldtimer</a>-Schönheitswettbewerb <a href="Pebble_Beach_Concours_d%E2%80%99Elegance" title="Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance">Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-forbes-2024_3-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-forbes-2024-3"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>3<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Dieser bildet den Abschluss am Sonntag.
Ausstellungsfläche sind unter anderem <a href="Golfplatz" title="Golfplatz">Golfplätze</a>. <p>Den Anfang machte 1950 der Concours, bis in die 1960er Jahre wuchs die Zahl der Veranstaltungen.<sup id="cite_ref-luxuryca-The_Evol_8-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-luxuryca-The_Evol-8"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>8<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> 1974 gab es zum ersten Mal die <i>Monterey Historics</i> mit 61 Wagen (seit 2010 <i>Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion</i>).<sup id="cite_ref-9" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-9"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>9<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Ab den 1980er Jahren kamen Versteigerungen bekannter Auktionshäuser<sup id="cite_ref-speed-ma-64754_4-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-speed-ma-64754-4"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>4<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> hinzu.<sup id="cite_ref-luxuryca-The_Evol_8-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-luxuryca-The_Evol-8"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>8<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>

<p>2025 fand zum 40.
